Alcala has two (at least) fabulous fish restaurants - for those who like 'artisanale' style food. Lovely village feel, great swimming,off a rocky cove with Canary-sandy/shingly beach. (not Sahara sand like Los Cristianos, etc. So much more real than, e.g. Los Gigantes up the coast.

There is a natural beach in Alcala, but if I remember right it seems to be a beach with half sand and half little stones.

Hi, we are considering staying a hotel near Alcalá. But the hotel does not mention it being near a sandy beach, are there sandy beaches in Alcalá? thanks

Alcala has a very nice waterfront, which invites for long walks along the beach. Here you can find nice holiday apartments. The market in Alcalá takes places every sunday.
