The small and quiet fishing village of La Caleta lies in the south of the island, close to Playa de las Américas and in the holiday region of Costa Adeje.

La Caleta is quite upmarket and this sunny stretch of coastline offers some of the most beautiful beaches and luxury hotels with sumptuous gardens.

On the edge of La Caleta is the 27-hole golf course of Costa Adeje.

The old part of the village has traditional tapas bars and some excellent small fish restaurants.

Near La Caleta you can find a beautiful beach! The locals call it "la caleta de los hippies" which means "the bay of the hippies" :-D
