Las GalletasQuiet fishing village
 The fishing village of Las Galletas lies in one of the quieter corners of the south of the island, just a few minutes along the coast from the surfing paradise of El Médano.
Its main features, apart from its traditional fishing village charm and a number of excellent fish restaurants, are its black sand and pebble beach, harbour and promenade.
Standing at the gateway to the Costa del Silencio, Las Galletas retains much of its Canarian tradition and charm, with a good choice of seafront cafés.
Las Galletas also offers some of the best diving opportunities on the island.
Diving schools offer tuition for experienced and not so experienced divers, including courses for diving teachers. Night and cave diving are among some of the experiences on offer.
