The web site Bookingmadeira has information for the ferry boat Volcán de Tijarafe and photos. The information is in Portuguese but if you send them email they will respond in English.

Is there a ferry service in winter also?
If not, how can we go from the Canaries to Funchal in January/February?
That is without connecting in Portugal or/7 Spain.
