Tenerife represented in Eurovision Song Contest
Boy band Nash will represent Spain in the 52nd staging of the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki on May 12.
Included in the Spanish band’s four-strong line-up is 24-year-old Mikel from Tenerife, a former student at Southampton University.
Said to be the romantic member of the group, Mikel is also an actor, model and salsa teacher.
The Spanish Eurovision entry was chosen by public vote during a nationally televised competition, with Nash’s song ‘I Love You Mi Vida’ emerging a clear winner.
Nash had another song in the final phase of the contest, ‘Busco Una Chica’, which finished fourth.
The other members of Nash are Basty, a 25-year-old from Cadiz, Javi from Seville and Ony from Valencia.
